Old Nayaken Jayanga Dedigama Honoured at the State Music Awards Ceremony

Bandaranayake College proudly celebrates the outstanding achievement of Jayanga Dedigama, an Old Boy of the college, who was awarded the Best Sound Engineering Award at the State Music Awards Ceremony held on 7 January 2025.

This prestigious national recognition was conferred for his exceptional work on the musical composition of the song Amawaka Ahasak, a creation that stood out for its technical excellence, depth, and artistic finesse. The song was written by Bagya Fernando and beautifully sung by Krishantha Erandaka, with Jayanga Dedigama’s sound engineering playing a vital role in bringing the composition to life.

Jayanga’s achievement reflects his dedication, creativity, and mastery in the field of sound engineering, as well as the strong foundation built during his years at Bandaranayake College. His success adds another proud chapter to the growing legacy of Nayakenz excelling in artistic and professional arenas.
