Broadcasted by official BCOBA crewA Grateful Farewell to the 2024/2025 Executive Committee
With deep appreciation, we extend our gratitude to the Executive Committee of the Bandaranayake College Old Boys Association (BCOBA) for the 2024/2025 term, who recently handed over their responsibilities to the newly elected board.
As per the OBA constitution, Mr. Kasun Gunarathna, the esteemed Principal of Bandaranayake College, has continued his role as President. Under his leadership, and with the energy of the vibrant executive team led by Mr. Sachithra Prabha, the youngest Executive Secretary in BCOBA history, the association experienced a remarkable year filled with impactful initiatives.
Key highlights from the last year include the X-Ban Exhibition, X-Fiesta Carnival, EduX Educational Fair, renovation planning of the College Main Hall, Nayakenz Night 2024 uniting all Nayakenz alumni, the launch of the BCOBA Affinity Card for members, and more.
Beyond events, we, together with supportive year groups, collectively contributed over LKR 50 million towards empowering human capital development within the school, enhancing the academic staff, students extracurricular engagement, sports, and infrastructure.
A heartfelt thank you to this outstanding team for their dedication, vision, and hard work. Your legacy is deeply appreciated and will inspire future teams to aim even higher.
